BHHS Students to Raise Funds for Make-a-Wish

Starting on Monday, next week will be “Make-a-Wish Week” at Big Horn High School.

Nathaniel Lydic, who's the media specialist for the Big Horn High School student council, explained.

Lydic said fundraising starts Monday with a “penny drive.” People who donate a penny, he said, get a point, but no points are given for donations over a penny.

Other events, he said, include “hat day” on Wednesday and, on Thursday, a car bash, when students pay for chance to hit a used car with a bat or hammer.

Lydic said the really big event will be a community dance at the Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall. He said that will be next Saturday starting at 6 p.m., and the event is open county-wide. Music will be by the band 307, and Wendy's will provide chili.

Lydic said admission will be a $5 donation.

He said all funds raised during the week will go to Wyoming's Make-a-Wish Foundation. Make-a-Wish is a nonprofit organization that grants wishes for children who are critically ill.
