Bear Sighting in Sheridan

Wednesday night at around 10 Officers from the Sheridan Police Department were dispatched the the area of West Loucks and North Badger in Sheridan to investigated the reported sighting of a black bear. At the time of arrival, Officers were unable to locate the bear and notified the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. Subsequently, Game and Fish personnel responded to the report.

About 20 minutes later, Officers were sent to the area of Linden and Burkitt Streets for another bear sighting. This time, the Officers were able to locate the bear, which ran west to the creek. The bear continued to go west and has not been seen since. Officers made multiple checks of the area throughout the evening and no other calls have come in regarding bear sightings.
