BDA's Main Street Market Kicks Off Wednesday In Buffalo

The Buffalo Downtown Association (BDA)'s summertime staples of the Main Street Market and Alive After Five Car Cruise will begin this year's run Wednesday in Buffalo.

This year's venue for the Main Street Market has been changed, due to construction downtown, according to Marie Verger with the BDA.

Also going on Wednesdays is the Car Cruise on Main Street along Crazy Woman Square. Verger said everyone with a classic car is welcome to come down to show off their vehicle, talk to other car enthusiasts, and just generally hang out with their cars.

This year the market is collaboration between Johnson County Arts and Humanities Council and the BDA.

The Main Street Market is from 4 to 6pm and the Alive After Five Car Cruise begins at 5pm until everyone goes home. The hope, Verger said, is that foot traffic will increase through downtown from the Market to the Car Cruise.

The markets will continue every Wednesday from now through the end of summer.
