The warmer weather is teasing many gardeners who are itching to get their hands in the dirt.  A few more weeks and the rush will be on to get the gardens planted and the flowers potted, but the right soil determines just how successful those plans will be.

Saturday, Landon’s Greenhouse hosted a seminar on “How to Make Wyoming Soil Better.” Attended by more than 40 people, Karen Nicolarsen explains what’s good and bad about our Wyoming soil.

Here’s what to do to break up that clay gumbo that so many of us find in our garden plots.

And there are things we don’t want to add to our soil.

For the months of March and April, Landon’s will be holding two classes each Saturday to get folks ready for springtime planting.
