Back-up Generator Keeps Hospital Open

The local hospital in Sheridan was able to stay open Friday, when the storm knocked out power to more than 3,000 people.

I caught up with CEO Mike McCafferty of Sheridan Memorial Hospital late yesterday afternoon to see how they managed. Here's a portion of that interview.

Full capacity for the medical unit, he said, is about 30 people, and that number did not include the surgical unit, pediatrics or ICU.
