Two Ucross alum, both strong women with a good sense of color, were featured in a workshop and reception Sunday by the Ucross Foundation.

Tracey Kikut, who's the Ucross program director, said the similarities between the two women was the reason that works by Phoebe Adams and Teresa Booth Brown are in a show together.

Kikut said Adams is from Maine. She began her career in sculpting but has moved to painting.

Brown, who's from Colorado, is a collage artist who also uses oils.

Before the reception Sunday, the two women led a workshop in color and landscape at the Raymond Plank Center. Kikut said about 35 people attended the workshop, which was free to the public.

The exhibition of the two artists' works are in the Big Red Gallery. Kikut said the show was installed in mid-February and will be up through May 17.
