Archery Club Road In Buffalo Nearing Completion

City Works Director Les Hook told the Buffalo City Council that crews have been working on the “Archery Club Road,” west of town near city property connected to the Buffalo Trail System west of Turkey Lane.

Crews will bring the road from the trail area north to Highway 16 as soon as the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) gets the permit for the highway access to the city.

WYDOT also had a pile of chips they wanted rid of and Hook's department purchased the pile for upcoming chip and seal work on the city's streets.

Hook then updated the council on the leak at the city's outdoor pool.

Three-D modeling has been completed at the Sports Fields Complex and the information is stored and will be a huge help to crews to finish grading the baseball fields. Three of the four fields are close to specifications, but the SW field must be taken out. City crews will be performing dirt work and sloping the field to the required specs.

Hook reported that the Powder River Conservation District's Spring Cleanup Hazardous Material Pickup Day has been scheduled for Saturday, May 16th at the fairgrounds. Residents can rid their homes and property of household chemicals, e-waste, tires, paint, oil and more.
