The Sheridan Holiday Inn was filled to the brim and overflowing as the Big Horn Homebuilders Association hosted the 33rd Annual “Home and Garden Show” this past weekend.

The show gets the home improvement ideas percolating and Jon Seidel, president of the Homebuilders Association, says that’s the whole idea.

It was a great family event, too, where even the kids rushed from vendor to vendor, picking up the free balloons, candy, pens and pencils.

In past years, attendance averaged well over 3,000; this year, Seidel notes, the response
has been phenomenal.

Over 70 exhibitors were on hand to showcase their specialties.  Craig Fox was there with Excalibur Construction. He says the show presented several new opportunities for his business, even in these tough economic times.

Folks even had a chance to win a 46-inch riding lawn tractor donated by Bloedorn Lumber through a raffle. The proceeds benefited Habitat for Humanity’s “Brush With Kindness” program, which offers home improvements to the needy.
