Annual Rabies Clinic in Sheridan Set for Early June

There have already been more confirmed cases of rabies in Sheridan County this year than in all of last year. Skunks and bats are the most common carriers of rabies in northeast Wyoming. In their annual effort to help vaccinate as many dogs and cats against the virus as possible, the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter is gearing up once again for the rabies clinic June 7th through the 11th at the Kendrick Park bandshell.

Shelter Director Debie Crawford says the rabies clinic offers ample time for anyone who’d like to get their pets vaccinated.

Crawford said the clinic will run everyday from 8 am to 1 pm, adding that pet owners need to have their pets on a leash or in some type of pet carrier.
