The annual garage sale fundraiser for Habitat For Humanity of Johnson County will be happening this weekend at the fairgrounds in Buffalo.

The event is the main fundraiser for the organization which uses funds raised during the garage sale to build affordable housing in Buffalo and Johnson County.

Four buildings full of good, previously-used items like housewares, building supplies, furniture, clothing, tools, appliances and more are available at bargain prices.

The inventory is constantly changing as more items are brought in as others are sold during the four-day event.

The annual sale will begin Thursday, May 16th with an “early bird” sale from 5 to 8pm where for $10 per family, shoppers can get first pick of the items being displayed.
The garage sale will continue with free admission Friday from 9 to 6; Saturday from 9 to 4, and wrap up Sunday from 11 to 4 where everything will be half-price.

“Buy so we can build,” is their motto, with proceeds from the sale going to build affordable homes in Johnson County.
