Anderson Awarded Bid for Terminal Building

Dick Anderson Construction of Sheridan has been awarded the bid for rehabilitation and expansion of the terminal building at the Sheridan County Airport.

Action came during the Sheridan County commissioners' staff meeting Monday.

John Stopka, who's manager of the airport, said the project will add about 4,200 to 4,300 square feet to the building.

There were two bidders on the project, and Anderson was the low bidder with a price of just over $1.7 million. That was slightly higher than the engineer's estimated of $1.66 million for the project.

Stopka told commissioners that the county's share of project costs is about 2.5 percent, and the state will pay about 3.75 percent. The balance of costs will come from the federal government.
