The Powder River Basin Resource Council will host the 5th annual Harvest Celebration this Saturday in Sheridan. There will be a farmers market at 4 pm followed by home grown music at 5 and dinner at 6 o'clock. Edith Heyward with the Resource Council says that dinner will be a little bit different this year.

Heyward pointed out that along with the roast pork and native bison that will be on the menu, there will be plenty of other locally prepared vittles that will be served up as well.

The Harvest Celebration will be this Saturday night at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall. The event begins at 4 o'clock with the farmers market and will continue well into the evening. There will also be a raffle and a pie auction as part of the Harvest Celebration as well. Heyward said that the farmers market is open to anyone and that tickets for the dinner can be purchased at the door Saturday night. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students with an ID, and children 12 and under get in for $5.
