4th Annual Keystone Awards

An overflow crowd showed up Thursday night to show respect and honor to four outstanding community members at the Keystone Awards held in the WYO Theater and Sheridan Media's Judy Hagerott brings us this story.

It was one of Sheridan's premier, red carpet events honoring four outstanding leaders in our community for their service to Sheridan. Hosted by the Sheridan Senior Center, these leaders are the cornerstones, that solid foundation of our community. Executive Director Carmen Rideout gives us the details.

Love indeed. Hundreds showed up to embrace and celebrate the honorees. Rideout says Bill Avery has given a lifetime of music to our community.

For Avery, who started in music at age 11 playing the trombone, music has been his world...and fishing.

Rideout says the Nickerson's have invested in Sheridan and its future.

The Nickerson's arrived in Sheridan in the mid-seventies and Sheridan has been home ever since.

According to Rideout, Dixie See's life exemplifies that of a true volunteer.

For Dixie, it's all about community involvement.

All proceeds went to the Senior Center in their efforts to serve older community members.
