4th Annual Art Extravaganza Boasts an Overflow Crowd

It was standing room only at the artists' reception for the Sheridan Junior High 4th annual, “Art Extravaganza,” Thursday night. Held at the SAGE Exhibit Gallery in downtown Sheridan, the show was entirely student-led, featuring the work of over 45 art students, but that's not all.

Entertainment was provided by the junior high choir and band and the exquisite food was prepared by the foods classes at the junior high. Over 80 students were involved in the event and art teacher Mary Lawson says its all about hard work.

The show features print making, watercolors, pencil drawings, acrylics and three dimensional work. Art teacher, Holly Legerski says a show like this is all about team work.

But it also does a teacher's heart good.

The show is being held in the art gallery of the Sheridan College Main Street and will be on display through April 30th.
