A 20-year-old Sheridan man was arrested by Sheridan Police Tuesday night after a car chase that spanned several blocks in north Sheridan.

Jonathon Michael Lobach of Sheridan was arrested and placed in Sheridan County Jail on Tuesday at about 8:45 pm.

Officers responded to a report on Tuesday morning that two vehicles had been stolen from Kevin's Autos at 1950 N. Main Street. Police investigated, and last night around 8:45 pm Sheridan Police Sgt. Kody Lamb observed Lobach driving one of the stolen vehicles, a 2006 White GMC Pickup, near the intersection of 8th and Main streets.

Sheridan Police Lieutenant Chris Dahmke explains further.

No one was hurt during the incident.

Lobach was cited for eluding an officer, reckless driving, and three separate citations for failure to report an accident because three parked vehicles were struck during the chase. Lobach was also cited for being in possession of stolen property.

Dahmke said the second stolen vehicle, a silver Toyota Camry, has since been recovered by police and police believe Lobach is connected to that as well. Dahmke said that the investigation is ongoing.
