The Sheridan County Fairgrounds exhibit hall was the site Thursday night for the Volunteer's of America fundraiser for the Sheridan Community Shelter. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more.

The “Empty Bowl” fund raiser consisted of individuals purchasing locally made bowls for twenty five dollars and having their fill of either salad or soup throughout the night in the bowl that they'd picked out.

The hand crafted bowls were made by students from Sheridan High School and each attendee of the fund raiser left home with one at the end of the evening.Vice President of VOA Wyoming/Montana Heath Steel says it's an event that they'd like to do every year.
