An "Elementary" Send Off

Big Horn Elementary students turned out in numbers, complete with posters, to send off their Rams in what they hope will be another State Championship. Just after 1:00 pm Thursday Andy Quinn and Colton Bates came down the sidewalk getting handshakes and hi-fives all along the way while on the far left Ahnya (in pink) and Georgia (with the blue hat) held the poster Mrs.

Big Horn Seniors Recognized at Senior Night

On the evening before their trip south for the Regional Basketball Tournament Big Horn recognized their Seniors at a potluck buffet on "Senior Night." Weather conditions scrapped the originally planned event when Rocky Mountain cancelled their trip to Big Horn and thus the last home games of the season.

Six of County's Finest Selected to Shrine Bowl

The rosters have been finalized for the 41st Annual Shrine Bowl all-star football game. The six selectees from Sheridan County are from the left: Daniel Sessions, Colter Carzoli, Nick Gill, Connor McCafferty, Tyler Julian (alternate) and Justin Orum. In addition to these players Mike McGuire from Big Horn has been selected as a North Assistant Coach.

Big Horn's Cheerleading Dynamo - Victoria

The ever present, ever cheering, Victoria with help from the Ram Mascot cheered the home team and crowd on to victory over the visiting Tongue River Eagles in Friday evening action in Big Horn. Victoria, who often works the crowd on her own, was joined by her sister and others who dawned the Ram mascot attire in shifts as they cheered the Rams on to a 72 to 38 de-feathering of the Eagles.

Five of County's Finest Play in Shrine Bowl

Rosters have been set for the 41st Annual Shrine Bowl all-star football game, which will be played June 14 in Casper. Five of the 20 for the North team are from Sheridan County. They are from the left: Daniel Sessions, Colter Carzoli, Nick Gill, Connor McCafferty and Justin Orum. Several alternates will be announced later. County Athletes Sign to play College Football

Sheridan Bronc Senior Justin Orum, seen here on the left, protecting his QB to RB exchange during the game against Laramie and Big Horn Ram Senior Colter Carzoli, on the right, is running for a score against Lyman. Justin and Colter have signed National Letters of Intent to play football for Black Hills State University and South Dakota School of Mines respectively.

The Lady Rams fall prey to the Lady Eagles

As the recently completed art work in the Tongue River High School gym indicates the Lady Eagles, with talons exposed, swooped down on their prey the Lady Rams from Big Horn. When they were finished with their prey the score was Tongue River 51 and Big Horn 36.

Rams take down the Buffalos & Take State

The 9&1 Big Horn Rams took down the 8&3 Mountain View Buffalos in the 2013 Wyoming State Football Championships at War Memorial Stadium starting at high noon Friday. Here Big Horn Senior Deven Ibach uses "hands on" to bring down the Mountain View Junior Jake Snow en route to the Rams downing of the Buffalos by a final score of 47 to 22.

Big Horn Beats Tongue River In Last Thunder Bowl

With 3:11 to go in the 1st quarter Rams QB senior Connor McCafferty pitches the ball to junior Corey Sturza on a second and 4 from the 4. Corey ran left behind his blockers into the end zone making the score Big Horn 12 - Tongue River 0. With TR unable to get on-track Big Horn, in cruise control, ran the score to 46 to 0.

Big Horn Seniors Shine on Senior Night

On Saturday Big Horn's Homecoming Queen, Hanneah Puckett, traded her crown for a VB uniform as she, the five other seniors and a supporting cast of underclassmen took on the Lady Bulldogs from Sundance. It was a tough go in the first game but the Lady Rams came from behind to win 26 to 24. In the second game it was all Bulldogs 25 to 18.
