Johnson County 4-H Receives Check

Members of the Wyoming Community Foundation recently presented a check in the amount of $3,500 to Jim Dawson, University of Wyoming Extension, 4-H Youth Development Educator. The grant funds will be used for the Johnson County 4-H Mountain Camp, including activities in the Shooting Sports and Sport Fishing areas.

The Big Horn Rams football team beat cross county rival Tongue River by a final of 52-13 Friday night in Big Horn. The loss ends the season for the Eagles, while the Rams will host Wind River in the first round of the playoffs Friday in Big Horn. Here are a few shots from the game.

Search and Rescue Presented With 'Big Check'

The latest Dining for a Cause at Frackelton's in downtown Sheridan raised $10,551.88 for Sheridan Area Search and Rescue. In addition to individual donations that were made, a total of over $12,500 was raised for the group.

Broncs Win in OT

It was a tussle that felt more like a playoff game than an early September match-up as the top two teams in 4A squared off in Sheridan Friday night. The Broncs held a two touchdown lead late in the 4th quarter, but Natrona wouldn't go away, as the Mustangs scored twice in the final minutes to force overtime, where the Broncs won by a final of 37-34.

Rams Too Much for Grizzlies

The Big Horn Rams opened their season Friday night at home with a convincing win over Rocky Mountain 44-14. The Rams will play at Southeast Friday.

The Tongue River Eagles won their season opener at home Friday night in Dayton against the Wright Panthers by a final of 14-6. Up next for the Eagles is a road game against Lusk.
