Good Weather + New Equipment = Great Fun

The new Big Horn Elementary School Playground was dedicated on a cold and snowy Monday. This photo taken at noon on Thursday, under better weather conditions, shows it in use by the pre-kindergarten through second graders who were having a great time on the various structures.

Tree Drop-off Location Expanded

The Landfill is now accepting trees, limbs and branches at two locations. The one seen here is located at 1148 KROE Lane - this one is in addition to the East Ridge Road Landfill location.

Sunday's Parade of Trees

It was a "Parade of Trees" Sunday afternoon on East Ridge Road heading to the Landfill. This photo was taken at 2:10 pm from the entrance to the landfill looking north - vehicles were backed up to KROE lane. Once you entered the landfill everything was organized and the unloading process worked smoothly.

This was the view from the Big Horn Campus Friday afternoon when the cloud cover started to lift beyond the campus bell tower and flags to reveal the first snow fall of the season.

Rio Lohse For the Win @ Don King Days

With this run Monday in Steer Roping, Rio Lohse turns in a 20.9 and a 67.9 on four to win the Don King Days Steer Roping Competition and take home the coveted Don King Days Buckle. Monday's action rounded out the 25th Anniversary of the Don Kings Day held at the Big Horn Equestrian Center. Don King Days Cup Recognition

The Don King Days Cup is in the books and the winning team in white - Tito's - came out on top beating the Brewers in blue 6 to 4 to take home a coveted Don King Buckle. After the game the teams met on the field for awards and recognition.

Still time to catch some hot horse shoeing action

If you want to get in on some hot horse shoeing competition there is still time. The action starts at 9:00 am Monday at the Big Horn Equestrian Center as part of Don King Days.
