Cameron Irwin Takes Elks Youth Rodeo "All Around Senior 2011"

Sunday afternoon after two days of competition at the 19th Annual Elks Youth Rodeo held at the Sheridan County Fairgounds, Cameron Irwin from Buffalo, Wyoming came out on top as the Elks Youth Rodeo "All Around Senior 2011" and drove off in this 2011 Ford Truck thanks to Fremont Motor Sheridan, Inc. who provided the one year lease of this 3/4 ton, 4 wheel drive, crew cab.

19th Annual Elks Youth Rodeo Gets Underway

The first contestant in the rodeo program in Senior Barrel Racing, Cashlee Cunningham, comes around barrel two and heads for number three as the 19th Annual Elks Youth Rodeo got underway at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds on Saturday morning at 8:00 am. Cashlee turned in a respectable time of 17.945 to get things started.

Rainbow Pay Dirt - Sheridan 31 & Cheyenne Central 12

Friday evening just moments before game time a rainbow appeared over Sheridan High School as the Sheridan Broncs were about to take to the field for the first game of the season. The Bronc Cheerleaders held the paper Bronc Head for the the players to run through and into an evening of Bronc dominance as they beat the Cheyenne Central Indians 31 to 12. SHS Class of '61 - Remembers

During a solemn portion of Saturday evening's 50th Reunion of the Sheridan High School Class of 1961 each in their own way paused and reflected as the name of each classmate who is no longer with us was read and a school colored balloon of blue or gold was released into the sky above in their memory.

Red, White & Blue - Think Wyoming First

Holly and Jennifer, both from Sheridan, were busy hanging red, white and blue balloons on the fence of Washington Park adjacent to the busy Coffeen Avenue just prior to noon on Friday in support of a Think Wyoming First rally. Think Wyoming First is a grassroots citizen's organization that any Wyoming resident can join.

Ryan King, representing King's Saddlery, won The 3rd Annual "Blue Ribbon Cook-off" at the 3rd Thursday Street Festival. He won $500 for his steak. His strategy? Keep it simple - sear both sides and lots of salt and pepper.

All Eyes Are On Anthony Graves

Saturday evening the Sheridan County Rodeo started with the Junior Calf Riding and all eyes were on Anthony Graves as he came out of the chute. Anthony looked good coming out but he couldn't hold on for the full time. Scroll down for more of Anthony's ride. The 4th and final performance of the 2011 Sheridan County Rodeo starts at 1:00 pm Sunday.
