A plaque bearing the portrait of Henry Asa Coffeen, which once hung in the old Coffeen Elementary School, has been re-framed and will be presented to Sheridan's new Henry A. Coffeen Elementary School.

The new principal of Tongue River Elementary School is Annie Griffin, and Sheridan County School District 1 Superintendent Marty Kobza said her current position, which is instructional facilitator and reading teacher, won't be replaced next year.

The final Met Live Streamed Opera of the 2016-2017 season will be shown at the Sheridan WYO Theater on Saturday morning. According to the WYO Theater’s Executive Director Erin Butler, this performance will feature a special finale for one cast member.
