The Buffalo Chamber of Commerce has released their tentative schedule of events for this year's “Longmire Days” celebration in Buffalo later this summer.

Johnson County's Commissioners have approved a Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Grant application on behalf of three entities that provide various services to families in the county.

Buffalo's City Council, at their Tuesday meeting, voted to allow Mayor Mike Johnson and Clerk Julie Silbernagel to petition the county clerk to collect an 8-mill levy for the city for fiscal year 2018.

During each quarter, Wyolotto makes a transfer of funds to the state. Those funds are then distributed between Wyoming’s cities, towns, and counties. Their most recent transfer, which marks the 5th they have made, was for $1,007,976.28.

The Lake DeSmet Advisory Board will meet this Wednesday, and will get an update on the status of a possible sale of water rights in the lake by Sasol Synfuels and whether or not the state intends to pursue the purchase of those rights.
