Bronc swimmers open 2013-14 tomorrow / SHS Hoops v Natrona county

BRONC SWIMMERS - The Sheridan Bronc swimmers and divers open their season this weekend, tomorrow they compete at the Casper relays and Saturday at the Gillette pentathlon.

Head coach Brent Moore has 16 Broncs in the pool this season and says the numbers are up a bit and he's excited to see them compete this week.

They've been practicing for a week and a half and Moore says besides battling some illness they've put in the hard work to get them ready for tomorrow's meet.

SC Basketball looks ahead to 2014 / Broncs / Lady Broncs play NC Friday

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals are 12-3 overall as they head into their holiday break this week, we sat down with Head coach Steve Smiley to go over the first half of their season.

First, Smiley says at 12-3 the Generals had a pretty good two month run to open the season.

And he says the schedule was tough but padding the early part of the schedule would hurt the team in the long run.

Bronc Wrestlers looking to improve on early success

BRONC WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers finished 2nd at the Powell invitational on the opening weekend of the season.

Head coach Tyson Shatto says it was great to get such a good result in the first live action of the season.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams swept games from Green River and Billings Skyview on he opening weekend of the season.

Lady Bronc Head coach Jessica Pickett says they had a great weekend.

And Pickett says no rest for the Lady Broncs as they get right back to work today.

The Broncs blasted Green River Friday and went up to Billings Saturday and picked a nice road win at Skyview high school.

Sheridan Hawks High School Hockey Team Sweeps Season Opener

SHERIDAN, WY—The Sheridan Hawks High School team earned their first two wins for the 2013-14 season at home besting the Rock Springs Miners 7 to 3 on Saturday afternoon and 11 to 3 on Sunday morning. Seven different players scored goals in the first game outshooting Rock Springs 43 to 29, with multiple players getting two points including Barak Broad, Logan Churchill, Jess Edens, Logan Garstad, and Thomas Moore.

Bison, Bucs winter sports seasons underway

Both Kaycee and Buffalo High School's winter sports teams were in action this weekend and are off to promising starts.

The Bison basketball team was at the East/West Classic hosted by Cody, and they went 1-2 during the weekend.

UW has new football coach

LARAMIE, Wyo. - Craig Bohl was introduced by University of Wyoming Athletics Director Tom Burman as the new head football coach of the Wyoming Cowboys on Sunday.

Bohl has been the head coach at North Dakota State since 2003, and has built a national power at NDSU. His teams have won back-to-back National Championships at the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level the past two seasons.

His team entered the 2013 FCS Playoffs as the No. 1 seed and is currently 12-0 entering the third round of the playoffs.
