Coach Brandon Returns to Bowling Green, This Time on Opposite Side of Field

LARAMIE (AP) - Wyoming Offensive Coordinator and
Quarterbacks Coach, Gregg Brandon, knows Bowling Green well. Bowling Green, Ohio, is where he got his first chance to be a college head football coach, and where he spent nearly one-third of his 30-year coaching career.

Broncs/ Rams Win; More from Friday's Local Sports Scene

Bronc Senior Jordan Roberts ran wild in Evanston (354 yards / 4 Td's)

FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs beat Evanston 42 to 35. Jordan Roberts rushed for 354 yards and four touchdowns. The Broncs are back at home next Friday when they host Rock Springs.

The Big Horn Rams go to 2-1 after shutting out Wright 31-0 Friday afternoon. The Rams play at Glenrock next week.

Both the games will be broadcast live next Friday.

The Wyoming Cowboys play at Bowling Green today; kickoff is at 10:00 on AM 1410 KWYO.

Rams Win Convincingly

Kyle McGaugh puts the Rams on the board in the 2nd quarter of their 31-0 win.

The Big Horn Rams cruised to a convincing win Friday afternoon with a 31-0 drubbing of the Wright Panthers.

The Rams have now won two in a row and sit at 2-1 on the season.

They will take to the road next Friday night to battle the Glenrock Herders.

Bronc Senior running back Jordan Roberts

FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team heads for Evanston today for a big early season 4-A showdown both teams are 2-1 heading into the game.

Last week senior running back Jordan Roberts scored six touchdowns the most by any player in a 4-A game this season Broncs Head coach Don Julian says Roberts is only getting better as he learns and gets more comfortable with the Bronc offense.

Julian expects a good game tonight with the Red Devils as both teams are alike in many ways.

FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team loads the bus tomorrow for Evanston in a big early season 4-A showdown.

Both teams are 2-1 heading into the game the Broncs had no problem with Cheyenne South last week but Head coach Don Julian says they got some good things out of that victory.

The match up with the Red Devils tomorrow is big in the fact it could come into play late in the year for playoff seeding.

1A, 3A Football Rankings, Schedules for Week 3

The high school football rankings for week 3 have been released and the top team in 3A again is the Green River Wolves. Powell is ranked #2, Douglas is #3, Lander is fourth and Buffalo rounds out the top five.
Top-ranked Green River will host #5 Buffalo on Friday. Second-ranked Powell will travel to Torrington. Number three Douglas will host Star Valley and fourth-ranked Lander will host Jackson.
In Class 1A Six-man, the number one spot goes to Little Snake River, number two is Kaycee, followed by Dubois at three and Hulett at four.

Gretchen Dougherty wins the 400 free for the Lady Broncs vs Buffalo

SWIMMING / DIVING - The Lady Bronc swimmers beat Buffalo in a dual at the Sheridan Junior high pool last night the final was 98-76.

Friday they have a dual in Riverton and Saturday they will be competing in the Riverton Invitational.

TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams swept matches at Casper Kelly Walsh Tuesday the Lady Broncs swept all five matches while the Broncs outlasted the Trojans taking the dual three matches to two.

They host duals with Powell Friday at 4:00 and Cody Saturday morning at 10:00.


SC Rodeo coach Marc Gilkerson

This weekend was very encouraging for our rodeo program. On our womens team sophomore Chelsey Kelly split 5th and 6th in the goat tying in the long round with a time of 8.5, she was 5th in the short round with a time of 7.9 and placed 5th in the average.
