Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC AND LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams swept all four weekend games with Laramie and Cheyenne South.

They both beat up Laramie pretty good Friday the Lady Broncs won 57-40 and the Broncs took down the Plainsmen 71-36 Saturday was a different day and both teams struggled but pulled off late victories the Lady Broncs did with one second to play.

Great Weekend Ahead on the Local Sports Calender

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams begin conference play at home tonight with Laramie and Cheyenne South tomorrow.

Lady Broncs Head coach Larry Ligocki says Laramie will be tough tonight and they want to get the conference season started off with a good performance.

SC Hoops Split with MC / Bronc Wrestlers Looking Ahead to a big Weekend / Hawks Hockey Hosts Pinedale Saturday and Sunday

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams took a split with Miles City, Montana Wednesday night the Lady Generals fell 76-59 their record now stands at 9-9 overall, the Generals pounded the Pioneers 102-70 to run their record to 16-2 and in the latest NJCAA top 25 rankings the Generals are listed at number 22.

Saturday they host games with Little Big Horn CC game times are scheduled for 3:00 and 5:00.

SC Basketball v Miles City Tonight / Broncs / Lady Broncs Open Conference Play With Laramie Friday

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams host Miles City, Montana tonight game times are at 5:30 and 7:30.

Since the start of the new year the Lady Generals have won three in a row, Head coach Ryan Davis.

And he says Miles City is really good and it will be a good challenge for the Lady Generals tonight.

High School Hoops Begin Conference This Week / SC Hoops Home Wednesday / Hawks Hockey Hosts Pinedale

SHS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball have wrapped up non conference play the Broncs are 8-3 overall the Lady Broncs are 4-7 they begin conference play at home this week with Laramie and Cheyenne South.

In the East 4-A this season there will be seven teams with the addition of Thunder Basin high school in Gillette and for this season only there will be six teams that make it to the regional tournament with the last place teams left out of post season play, that will change next year when the 4-A goes to a new format that will feature four school quadrants.

Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan high school basketball teams dropped games against Billings Senior Friday they both came back Saturday with victories over Natrona county the Lady Broncs won 45-43 the Broncs beat NC for the third time 41-27.

Lady Broncs Head coach Larry Ligocki said it was a huge win Saturday over Natrona.

And it ended up being the Lady Bronc defense that won the game for them.

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan high school basketball teams take on Billings Senior tonight the Lady Broncs travel today while our Broncs host the Senior Broncs we will have the game live for you on KWYO and 106.9 FM tip off is scheduled for 7:00.

The Broncs are 7-2 both losses are three were three point games against Evanston and Billings Senior and Head coach Jeff Martini says his Broncs want a much better performance against Senior tonight.

SC Hoops Teams Sweep CWC / Cowboys Lose at New Mexico / Cowgirls Beat the Lobos / Bronc Wrestlers Dual at Colstrip

BRONC WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers compete in Colstrip, Montana this evening then to Miles City for the Cowboy invitational tournament which gets underway tomorrow.

The team is coming off a solid finish at last week's Douglas tournament and Head coach Tyson Shatto says his young Broncs are starting to show signs of how good they can be.
