Local historian Val Burgess of Sheridan shared the human side of the prisoners of war of World War II in her presentation at the Big Horn City Historical Society’s February meeting. Part of her continuing research includes a suitcase filled with letters, thanking Cora Reed.

Spirit of Service Training Report Given to JCSD1 Board

Dr. Jeanie Iberlin gave a report to the Johnson County School District One Board of Trustees, covering the “Spirit Of Service” training given to classified staff members of the school district.

Search for Missing Child Continues

The recovery effort for a 4 year-old girl who fell through the ice near the Powder River Exit on Interstate 90 east of Buffalo earlier this month was resumed this past Saturday but nothing was found during the day-long search.

A Look Back in Time: Feb. 22, 1915

While playing on the ice on the Tongue River yesterday afternoon, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis J. Arnieri fell through a hole and was drowned.
