List Of Those Running For Office In Johnson County

The deadline for registering to run in the primary election in August for public offices in Buffalo and Johnson County was last Friday at 5pm.

The final list has been compiled.

Driver Faces Possible Vehicular Homicide Charges

UPDATE: The Wyoming Highway Patrol has now released the name of the person driving the vehicle in Saturday's fatal crash.

Summer Reading Program Starts

Summer reading programs for adults and young adults begin today at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library in Sheridan.

The programs are open to anyone in the county.

Forest Managers Plan Open House

The Tongue Ranger District is hosting an open house Tuesday night, from 4-6:30, at the Forest Service Work Center at 1355 Fort Road. The center is located near the entrance to the Veterans Administration facility in Sheridan.

Volunteers Needed for County Boards

The Sheridan County commissioners are looking for volunteers to serve on the Sheridan County Planning and Zoning Commission and the Sheridan County Library System Board. Both have one position open that's a 3-year term from July 1.

Candidate List is Final

As the filing period for elected offices closed Friday, the scene was set for the upcoming primary election. For Sheridan County, six of the seven county officers will most likely secure their seat because they’re running unopposed.

Hospice care is a special healthcare option for patients and families faced with a terminal illness. It's for those people who are critically ill and have six months or less to live and the goal is to alleviate suffering and manage symptoms. Sheridan currently does not have a hospice facility.
