Buffalo Council Approves 8 Mills For This Year

At their meeting Tuesday the Buffalo City Council approved Resolution No.1356, allowing them to claim the eight mills allowed them in garnering their share of property taxes collected in the county.

At their regular meeting Monday night, the Johnson County School District One Board of Trustees awarded a bid to build a vestibule addition to Clear Creek Middle School to Wright Brothers of Sheridan.

At Monday's meeting of the Sheridan City Planning Commission, there was discussion about setting up a work session with the city council so that both bodies are on the same page. The idea was first suggested by planning commissioner Robert Webster and all agreed Monday that it was a good idea.

Prescribed Burns at Bud Love to Take Place Late April/Early May

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department announced Tuesday they are planning a series of prescribed burns at the Bud Love Wildlife Management Area in late April or early May - if the weather permits. The department has contracted Fire Trax, LLC to conduct the burns.

Phase Two of Wyoming/Park Reconstruction Set to Begin Soon

Phase Two of the Wyoming Avenue/Park area reconstruction project will get underway Monday, May 6th. Crews finished up phase one of the project last spring and the City of Sheridan recently awarded the bid for phase two of the project to Intermountain Construction and Materials of Sheridan.
