To add to what is an already congested area of the City right now, the traffic signal at the intersection of 5th Street and Val Vista in Sheridan was knocked out Thursday by a truck.

The 62nd Sheridan College Commencement Ceremony will be held this Saturday, May 7th, beginning at 1 o'clock at the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome, and for those who are not able to attend in person, the college will be broadcasting the event on Bresnan Cable Channel 21.

The Obama Administration announced Wednesday that it will take 5,500 wolves off the endangered list in eight states in the Northern Rockies and Great Lakes. The move will turn control over the predators to state wildlife agencies. Public hunts for hundreds of wolves already are planned this fall in Idaho and Montana.

The Johnson County Commissioners voted Tuesday to loan the Town of Kaycee money to purchase a compactor trailer and a “tub” to complete their garbage transfer station that will serve the town and southern Johnson County.

Sheridan Memorial Hospital invites everyone to the 2nd Annual Baby Fair, to be held Saturday, May 7th from 10 am to 1 pm in the hospital's cafeteria area. Cecile Pattison is the Community Relations Director for the hospital.

Occupational testing was discussed again at the Johnson County Commission meeting Tuesday, and after discussions the commission chose to not adopt the policy for all employees.

Buffalo's City Council, at their meeting Tuesday, discussed new radio consoles and new computers for the new justice center that is under construction.
