At approximately 2:45 pm Sunday, the Sheridan Police Department along with Sheridan Fire Rescue and Rocky Mountain Ambulance responded to an accident at the intersection of Sioux and Thurmond Streets.

Upon arrival, emergency responders found the driver of a late model Honda with Montana plates had apparently lost control as he was heading south on Thurmond, failed to make a left turn on Sioux and crashed into the side of a residence.

University of Wyo. Extends President's Contract

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - University of Wyoming President Tom
Buchanan's contract will be extended by another two years to 2014. The Star-Tribune reports that the university trustees approved the contract extension Friday. Buchanan has been president since 2005. His annual salary is $300,000. He also receives a $42,000 yearly housing allowance and an estimated $6,000 for a vehicle and insurance.

Where Did The Grasshoppers Go?

Grasshoppers were expected to take over parts of the west, with some estimates that they would reach numbers not seen since 1985. However, although the grasshopper population certainly has reached what is considered “epidemic” levels in certain areas the overall number, at least appears to be lower than predicted.
