Short Status Hearing Held for Man Accused of 1st Degree Murder

A Status Hearing for 1st Degree Murder suspect Shawn Osborne was held in District Court Thursday.

A Status Hearing for Sheridan resident Shawn Osborne was held Thursday in 4th Judicial District Court. Osborne is charged with 1st Degree Murder for allegedly killing Gerald Bloom on January 15th, 2010.

Micheli Comments on Craig's List Rapist Letter

Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Ron Micheli was a guest on KROE's Public Pulse program Thursday morning. The first issue addressed by host Kim Love was Micheli's character reference letter he and his wife, Patty, had written to Natrona County Judge David Park.

John Brown Receives Sentence

The day finally arrived for John Brown to be sentenced in 4th Judicial District Court. Brown had been escorted from the courtroom on April 24th when he went before Judge John Fenn for his arraignment, at which time he had plead guilty on two counts of Felony Larceny for stealing a pick-up, an ATV, several tools and money from Sheridan County rancher Mike Helvey.

The Sheridan Area Water Supply Joint Powers Board held a brief meeting Wednesday night to vote on the proposed budget for this next fiscal year. SAWS Chairman Tom Ringley:

Republican Gubernatorial candidate Matt Mead made a “meet and greet” stop by the Java Moon in Sheridan last night. At the “greet” local Campaign Coordinator Debbie Wendtland, in explaining why she is supporting Mead, says while the other candidates are, in her words, “smart and capable folks,”

Recreation District Approves Budget

The Sheridan Recreation District approves the budget.

The Sheridan Recreation District Board of Trustees approved their budget for fiscal year 2010-2011 Wednesday night. Recreation District Director Richard Wright says that this year's numbers are considerably lower than last year's budget.

This Saturday the parking lot of Plains Tire in Sheridan will be filled with unique cars and trucks as Plains is hosting a car and truck show. Plains Tire Manager Pat Shippy explains that the money raised from the event will go toward a good cause.
