Calling All Volunteers!! Extreme Makeover—VOA And Habitat-Style

Volunteers of America and Habitat for Humanity are teaming up to give Sheridan's Community homeless shelter at the V.A. an “extreme makeover” of sorts.

It's been 12 years since the shelter has been spruced up. Director of Community Affairs with the VOA, Ethan Boone:

G&F to Use Helicopter to Stock Lakes in the Bighorns

The Game and Fish Department will be stocking fish in the Bighorn Mountains with a helicopter in early August.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will be using a helicopter to stock over 20 lakes in the Cloud Peak Wilderness on the east slope of the Bighorn Mountains this summer. Game and Fish Information Specialist Warren Mischke says that this is done every couple of years since many wilderness lakes lack the physical habitat needed for trout reproduction.

McCormick Road to be Closed for Construction

McCormick Road in Sheridan County will be closed due to construction for the next couple of weeks.

Sheridan County Road 109, or McCormick Road, will be closed temporarily for construction. DCM Construction Supervisor Todd Gardner explains what they will be doing to the road over the next few weeks.

Gardner says that there are alternative routes that area homeowners will be able to use.
