There has been a slight change to the application deadline for next year's sporting events grants through Sheridan Travel and Tourism. Sheridan Recreation District Director Richard Wright says those interested have a little over a month to apply.

Bill to End Early Foreign Language Classes Stalls

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A proposal to end state-mandated early foreign language instruction has stalled. The Legislature's Joint Education Interim Committee failed to sponsor the measure in a 7-7 tie vote recently.

Miss Wyoming Heads to Miss America

Miss Wyoming 2010, Alicia Grove of Rock Springs, was crowned in June at the WYO Theatre in Sheridan. Next Tuesday, she'll be heading to Las Vegas to compete for the Miss America crown. She tells us what she's been doing to prepare.

Buffalo City Projects on Hold

City projects are on hold, some because of weather, according to Buffalo City Works Director Les Hook, who reported to the Buffalo City Council earlier this month. Hook said one project on hold was paving at an intersection on West Fort Street.

QPR Training Coming in January
