Sheridan Fire Rescue Continues to Teach Fire Safety to Students

Every school year beginning in October, Sheridan Fire-Rescue conducts monthly fire drills at all Sheridan County School District 2 schools throughout the year. SFR also provides fire safety training programs to all District 2 kindergarten through 5th grade classes.

Sunday afternoon, Sheridan became the eleventh stop of a twelve-stop book tour across Wyoming for author Bruce Smith.  But sad to say, not one soul showed up at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library for the presentation and book signing of his second book, “Wildlife on the Wind.”

In the Spirit of Giving

Saturday morning, Adopt-A-Block Sheridan teamed up with the local youth group, “Chosen” to hand out 50 turkeys and all the fixings to those less fortunate who reside at Woodland Park Village and in the Avoca Apartments in Sheridan. 

Honor Flight Wyoming Receives $20,000

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Honor Flight Wyoming has received a $20,000 donation from oil and gas industry operators to help send World War II veterans to Washington, D.C. Devon Energy and QEP Resources each pledged $10,000 for the effort.
