Indoor track season opens / local basketball loaded with games / Elks hoop shoot Sunday

INDOOR TRACK - The Bronc and Lady Bronc indoor track season is underway the first practice took place yesterday after school, around 80 students are expected to participate as Head coach Art Bauers says indoor track numbers remain strong.

The first meet is scheduled for Gillette next Friday and Bauers says they've got a lot to get done before that first competition.

Airport Grant Certificate to County Commission

A Certificate of State Grant-In-Aid for the construction of a taxilane and fro preliminary apron earthwork at the Johnson County Airport will be discussed and signed by the County Commissioners at their Tuesday meeting.

Lobban/Fetterman Redevelopment on Buffalo Council Agenda

Travis Lawrence with the Vision Buffalo Commission is scheduled to come before the Buffalo City Council at their Tuesday meeting to discuss a proposed redevelopment in the Lobban/Fetterman area of Buffalo.

The Buffalo Senior Center has put out a call to the community for input on how they need to change to provide the services to Buffalo's senior citizens in the future.

Annual Sheridan Elks Hoop Shoot takes place Sunday at Sheridan college

The annual Elks Hoop Shoot is this Sunday, Jan. 12, at the Sheridan College Hoffamn Dome at 2PM.

Hoop shoot is for kids 8 - 13, with boys and girls put in the following groups: 8-9, 10-11, and 12-13.

The PE Teachers in all Sheridan County schools and in Buffalo have held shoot-offs to determine school champions.

It is these champions who will be at the Hoop Shoot on Sunday.

The winners of this Hoop Shoot are eligible to compete in the Northwest District Hoop Shoot which will be here in Sheridan on
Jan. 26.

Councilman Dominguez Resigns

It was a year ago that Levi Dominguez was sworn in as councilor for ward 3 in Sheridan. Monday night at the Sheridan City Council meeting, Dominguez informed his colleagues that he'd be stepping down so that he can put more focus into his career.
