Park's Fitness Program's Free

Sheridan's Wellness Council, the Recreation District and Emit Technologies have joined to offer ParkFit 2014, a new program that will be every Wednesday from 12:10 to 12:50 in one of the local parks.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers and Powell were rained out Friday night, next up for the Troops is a home double header tomorrow evening against Cody, first game will start at 5:00.

Rain outs are a fact of life this time of year and gave the Troops are few extra days off to get ready for the double header with Cody and for the first time this season Head coach Ben Phillips will be able to put a healthy full starting lineup on the field.

Johnson County Signs Agreement For IPAWS

At their Tuesday meeting the Johnson County Commissioners heard a report from Emergency Management Coordinator Marilyn Connolly about the newest public alert system, the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (or IPAWS), which is being offered through Homeland Security /FEMA.

Car Wash Fundraiser Approved, Other Briefs From County

The Johnson County Commissioners approved a request from the Buffalo High School Spirit Squad to hold a “car wash fundraiser” in the county-owned parking lot across from the courthouse for June 14th and July 5th.

Variance Request Approved By Buffalo Council

A variance request submitted by property owners in Buffalo was approved by the city council at their last meeting.

The variance was needed to replace an existing building on property located qt 17 S. Tisdale with a new garage.

YMCA Holds Annual Triathlon

The Johnson County YMCA hosted its annual triathalon. Hannah Stepenoff has the details.
