The Sheridan Police Department issued a news release Monday that stated at approximately 7am Saturday, 65-year-old Mark Underhill called 9-1-1 and told dispatch that he was in a parking lot adjoining the police department, and that he was armed with a firearm and intended on taking his life.

BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Bronc basketball team came up short in their bid for a state basketball championship in the 4-A title game in Casper.

Campbell county had the Broncs number this season, with their 71-61 win Saturday night that made it four wins over the Broncs this season two in the regular season and two in the post season, Campbell Senior Trey Haldky wore the Broncs out with a tournament high 43 points.

More than 550 Yellowstone bison removed so far this winter

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — Wildlife officials say more than 550 Yellowstone National Park bison have been removed so far this winter in the annual program to limit the herd size.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reported Sunday 328 animals have been shipped to slaughter and hunters have killed 234.
