Commissioners Authorize Filling County Position

Sheridan County commissioners have authorized County Clerk Eda Schunk Thompson to hire someone on a temporary basis to fill a vacancy created in the county clerk's office by a request for leave.

Sheridan ARC’s Next Executive Director Yvonne Swanson

The Sheridan Advocacy and Resource Center announced earlier this year that their Executive Director Bonnie Young would be retiring in early 2018. Yvonne Swanson has been chosen to take on the Executive Director role next and is currently learning about the job as Interim Executive Director.

Opening on Planning and Zoning Commission

The Sheridan County Commissioners are taking applications to fill a spot on their Planning and Zoning Commission.

Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams will resume the season January 4th,5th and 6th at a tournament in Cheyenne their opponents will be Rock Springs, Casper Kelly Walsh and Green River.

RAMS / EAGLES BASKETBALL - The Big Horn and Tongue River basketball teams will open 2018 hosting the 2-A North / South tournament it's three days January 4th, 5th and 6th both schools will host.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams both have tune up games before they start league play January 10th when they host games with Central Wyoming.

JCHC Board Pushes December Meeting To January

The Board of Trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center normally have their monthly meetings the last Wednesday of each month, but during their November meeting chose not to have a December meeting and move all business to their meeting in January.
