The Bighorn National Forest has announced that they have several prescribed burn projects planned for the fall. These annual projects are designed to reduce hazardous fuels, improve wildlife habitat and range forage, and treat conifer encroachment.

Sheridan Mayoral Candidates Roger Miller and Alex Lee have been at odds over an ordinance that was approved last October by the Sheridan City Council that establishes the position of city administrator.

Repurposed ReStore Facility

Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns ReStore facility sells reusable and surplus building materials to the public and uses the generated funds for the construction of Habitat homes.

Commissioners Accept Resignation From P&Z Commission

Randy Cleveland has submitted his resignation from the Johnson County Planning and Zoning Commission, and the county commissioners have accepted his resignation, after County Planner Jim Waller brought the request before them at their most recent meeting.
