Update: Sheridan Police Closed Off Broadway Due to Domestic Dispute Involving An Automatic Weapon

At approximately 8:40pm Wednesday, the Sheridan Police Department was dispatched to resolve a domestic between a mother and her adult son on the 600 block of Broadway. At 5:40pm Thursday Sheridan Police Chief Rich Adriaens updated us on the situation.

Update: Dispute Involving A Firearm

At approximately 8:40pm Wednesday, the Sheridan Police Department was dispatched to resolve a domestic between a mother and her adult son on the 600 block of Broadway. It is reported that a firearm was involved. The son is suspected to be alone and under the influence of methamphetamine.

Fire in the Bighorns

Firefighters for the Bighorn National forest responded to a wildfire near Burgess Junction on Tuesday. Dubbed the Rock House Fire two engines and six firefighters kept the blaze to one-quarter acre in size as it was declared controlled Thursday. The Cause has yet to be determined.

Halo Warriors Touch Down in Sheridan

The Halo for Freedom Warriors Foundation brought a group of their warriors out to Sheridan County for a weekend of fun. Before the fun could even get started they were treated to a royal greeting at the Sheridan County Airport Thursday.

The rhythmic sound of hammers pounding nails could be heard on the 100 block of Sheridan’s west 7th street Thursday as the Wyoming Roofing Crew was hard at work on the winner of the Nominate Your Neighbor Program.

Sections of the Yellowstone River are Back Open

The Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks have opened two sections of the Yellowstone River due to the improvement of environmental conditions. The mainstem of the Yellowstone south of livingston will remain closed.

Hospital Administrator Announces Resignation

Johnson County Healthcare Center's Hospital Administrator Sandy Ward officially announced his resignation to the hospital board during their August meeting Wednesday night.
The board then reluctantly moved to accept his resignation.
