Sheridan Bronc Basketball Broadcast

Both the Sheridan Broncs and Lady Broncs took victories over Green River at the tournament in Cheyenne.

The Broncs won in their game against Green River with a final score of 49-36!

The Lady Broncs won their game with a score of 50-41.

Lady Broncs will play at 12pm tomorrow and the Broncs will play at 1. Both games will be broadcast on 1410 KWYO and 87.7 FM!

Local Homeless Shelter Housed Family Over Holidays

During a public gathering of representatives from local service agencies held last month, Claude Alley, who is the director of homeless services for the local Volunteers of America organization, said there was a family staying there, at that time, and a church group was purchasing presents for both the children and parents.

Governor Visits Sheridan County to Honor Students

UPDATE: A group of local students were personally recognized for their achievements this week by the governor of Wyoming. Gov. Matt Mead told a gathering of Big Horn High School students Thursday morning they are “an elite” group, who are raising the bar.

The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams dropped games against Natrona County Thursday the Lady Broncs lost 72-49 and Broncs fell 68-52.
Today they play Green River games are at 3:30 and 5:00 on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

The Big Horn lady Rams remain unbeaten with a 46-32 win over Burns the TR girls lost 46-33 to Pine Bluffs.

On the boys side TR lost againt PB 66-32 and the Rams crushed Burns 57-16.

Play at the Winter classic continues today all day at Big Horn and Tongue River.

Police Chief Explains Invalid Petition Signatures

As previously reported, the petition to put the city administrator position up for a special election in Sheridan failed, due to a lack of valid signatures. 529 signatures were required, which is 10 percent of the registered voters in Sheridan that voted last election.

Kendrick Pool and Its Immediate Future

There has been a lot of speculation over the past few years as to the future of Kendrick Pool, as officials with the City of Sheridan and the Sheridan Recreation District have been contemplating what to do with the aging facility that is almost 80 years old.
