Fire-Rescue Reports Structure Fire

RELEASE:
At approximately 1:33 am Sheridan Fire-Rescue was dispatched to 48 North Jefferson for a reported structure fire.

Legislative Forum: Requests Include Support for Air Service, School Programs, Ski Facility

Wyoming legislators were asked to allocate money for air service, support farm to school and pre-kindergarten readiness programs and identify possible funding opportunities for a mountain recreation area, during the morning session of the legislative forum held Tuesday in Sheridan.

When: Sunday, February 14th

Time: Check in 9:30am race start 10:00am
Where: Start and finish at Sheridan Recreation District office in Thorne Rider Park.

Registration: Register at the SRD office in Thorne Rider Park by February 12th, call 674-6421, or register on race day.

Cost: $10 for a family, $8 for a pair, $6 for 1 adult, $4 for youth under age 18.

Proceeds go towards Sheridan Recreation District programs such as the Penrose Pacers Running Club.

The afternoon session Tuesday of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Legislator Forum began with Sheridan County School District #3 Superintendent Charles Auzqui updating legislators on the current status of the three schools within the district.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams host games with Cheyenne East and Cheyenne Central.

Game times Friday are at 5:30 and 7:00 and Saturday at 11:30 and 1:00 all four games can be heard live on KWYO and 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

The Broncs are coming off two close losses at Laramie and Central, Head coach Gale Smith says they have to shake off those losses and get ready for two more very good opponents this week.

County Concerned With Data Backup Agreement

Concerns over wording in an agreement between the county and Ptolemy Data Systems over their backing up and protection of county data has led the commissioners to authorize Deputy County Attorney Barry Crago to make changes to the agreement and send it back to Ptolemy for their consideration.
