Commission Oks Funding for Airport Wildlife Fence, Annexes More Private Properties Into County Fire Districts

The Sheridan County Commission approved both a federal and state grant to help fund replacement of a wildlife fence on the county airport grounds in Sheridan, during this morning’s meeting, and continue to annex private parcels of land into county fire districts.

Guild Presents Romantic Comedy, ‘Outside Mullingar’

A romantic comedy revolving around two Irish farm families will be brought to the local stage this month and next by the Sheridan Civic Theatre Guild.

Grandparents Program Held Wednesday

A new program designed to help grandparents who are raising grandchildren is being offered on the third Wednesday of each month in Sheridan. Stella Montano, who is the program organizer, said she has two presenters set up for this week’s meeting.

Public Forum Planned to Discuss Medicaid Expansion

A Medicaid Expansion Community Forum has been planned for tonight in Sheridan. As part of the forum, effects of Medicaid expansion on Sheridan and other communities in the state will be discussed by local business people and medical professionals. The forum runs from 5:30-7 tonight and will be held at the library on West Alger Street.

The Sheridan City Council Monday night awarded the bid for phase one of the West Loucks Street reconstruction project to Hot Iron, Inc. out of Gillette, in the amount of $2.58 million. City Project Manager Joe Schoen.

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams open conference play at Laramie Friday night game times are scheduled for 5:30 and 7:00 you can hear them both live on KWYO and 87.7 FM.Saturday they play at South games at 10:30 and 1:00 on KWYO.

The Lady Broncs are 5-6 heading into conference play the Broncs are 3-8 overall.

RAMS / EAGLES HOOPS - The Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams host games with Wright Friday. The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles will stay home this week hosting Moorcroft and Sundance Friday and Saturday.
