Avalanche kills snowboarder near Jackson resort

JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - An avalanche has killed a snowboarder just outside the boundary of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.

The Wyoming Winter Hockey Classic 2014 will be held at the Sheridan Hockey rink January 1st.

Who: Yellowstone Quake vs. Gillette Wild

Where: Sheridan Ice in Sheridan WY

When: 4:00pm

This is the first outdoor game for both teams and they are looking forward to playing outside in Sheridan.

Ticket sales - $10.00 for Adults - $5.00 18 years old and under. Tickets available at the rink starting at 3:00pm.

Bronc / Lady Bronc indoor track set to open a new season / Hoops / Wrestling / Swimming

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams will play games at home January 2nd against Malstrom air force base from Montana. hey will be at home on Saturday January 4th against Casper college.

BRONC LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams are off until January 9th when they head to Riverton for three games against Casper Kelly Walsh, Riverton and Evanston.

BH BASKETBALL - The Big Horn basketball teams open 2014 January 10th hosting games with Wright.

Attorney Updates County on Muddy Creek Realignment

Deputy County Attorney Barry Crago gave a quick update on the Muddy Creek re-alignment to the Johnson County Commissioners at their last meeting, saying not much had been figured out yet, but they were continuing to work on the issue.

Polar Bear Plunge Happens New Year's Day

This will be the 27th year, according to the organizers, that upwards of 100 to 125 hardy souls will brave snowy weather and icy waters in nothing but bathing suits to prove...well, only they know why they do it!

City Gets Break On Annual Insurance Premium

Trevor Moon, representing North Wyoming Insurance in Buffalo, gave a presentation to the city council at their last meeting on their annual insurance policy costs and found they could save nearly $35,000 by changing providers.
