County Planner Gives Annual Report to Jo Co Commission

Johnson County Planner Rob Yingling gave the County Commissioners his annual report during this week's meeting, explaining what his department has been doing and what they have accomplished in the last fiscal year.

City Of Buffalo Asking Public For Help To ID Stolen Property

At the last Buffalo City Council meeting, City Attorney Ben Kirven again asked those attending the meeting to remind friends and family with storage units to check to see if they are missing items and contact the Buffalo Police Department to see if the items have been recovered recently from a number of arrests made by the department.

Local Women Nominated For Award

Pavillion's Contaminated Water Investigation: Rep. Lummis Says EPA is Crying Wolf

U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis issued a media release Thursday saying the Environmental Protection Agency mishandled the Pavillion investigation and disagrees with their conclusion that fracking is related to groundwater contamination in the area. Not Enough Signatures for Vote on Casper Smoke Ban

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - An effort in Casper to let voters decide on a partial repeal of the city's smoking ban has failed to collect enough signatures to put the issue on the ballot.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers lost 8-4 to Casper Wednesday night in their final home game of the season.

The Troops had problems at the plate all night and struggled just to get base runners and had only one hit through the 7th inning, Head coach Ben Phillips.

Casper led 4-1 going into the bottom of the 8th when the Troops finally got the offense going they scored 3 runs to tie the game but Casper put the game away scoring four times in the top of the 9th.

Buffalo's Crazy Days, Nights Celebration This Weekend

Buffalo's annual Crazy Days and Crazy Nights celebration will be Friday and Saturday in Buffalo, featuring great sales at local merchants, food, vendors, music and fun and games.

City Works: Streets, Water Lines, Bids Are Priorities

The Buffalo City Council, at their last meeting, got an update from City Works Director Les Hook who told them city crews are concentrating on street repairs and broken water lines.
