EMIT Technologies donated $20,000 to Raising Readers in Wyoming this morning to empower the group to continue giving out books to reinforce the importance of literacy in Wyoming's youth.

Circus Raises Eyebrows; Jaycees Issues Statement

The Carson & Barnes Circus is setting up at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds in rainy weather this morning amidst a significant group of citizens within the community calling for a boycott.

Brucellosis Found in Bighorns

Two elk have tested positive for brucellosis in the Bighorn Mountains.

YOUTH SPORTS CAMPING SEASON BEGINS IN JUNE / FOOTBALL / BASKETBALL / TENNIS / BASEBALL

FOOTBALL - We've heard this week from the Sheridan Bronc football program as they prepare for their team football camp at Black Hills state summer is the time for youth sports camps especially June and July.

The Bronc football team and Gillette will get together in Sheridan next Tuesday evening for Pre scrimmages as both programs get ready for their team camp at Black Hills state.

On Monday the University of Wyoming football program will hold their one day Cowboy camp at Homer Scott stadium.

BIG HORN WILD AND SCENIC VOLUNTEERS / NOTES FROM THE BLACK MOUNTAIN NORDIC CLUB

The Big Horn Wild and Scenic Trail Run is coming up on June 14th and 15th.

The good folks at the Sports Stop put on the race and they have been very good supporters of the ski club. They always make a large donation to our club for our members help with the trail run.

Last year owners, Karen and Mike Powers donated a used Skidoo Skandic to the club for trail grooming. As most of you know in the past, I have solicited your help with the run.

Sheridan Trolley Service Expands to Meet Needs

Now that summer is right ahead of us, the Sheridan Trolley is out and about - and we can expect to see a lot more of it this year. CEO of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce, Dixie Johnson, says the service has continued to evolve as community needs grow and priorities shift.
