Music & Delk Win as Broncs Fall to Gillette

Two bright spots Thursday evening were wins by Bronc Tory Music, seen here, in the 182-pound weight division and Bronc Cody Delk at 195 as the Bronc Wrestlers fell to the Campbell County Camels 52 to 18. Four Bronc Seniors suited up on Senior recognition night but all came up short on the mats on this, the next to last home match, of their High School careers.

GOP Writes the President: 'Don't Cave to Union Pressure'

On Thursday, 31 Republican senators sent a letter to President Obama not to cave in to union pressure to expand access to the federal subsidies for health care premiums that were included in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

UW Receives $2.5 Million Donation from ExxonMobil

Wyoming Governor Matt Mead announced Thursday that ExxonMobil has donated $2.5 million to the University of Wyoming. These funds will support science and technology education programs at the university, including research into technologies that improve the production of oil and gas.

Sheridan County Planning Commission Discusses Fifth St Development

At Thursday's meeting of the Sheridan County Planning Commission, one of the main topics of discussion was the Fifth Street Corridor Plan. Some members of the Sheridan City Planning Commission were present, but not in sufficient enough numbers to constitute a quorum.

Buffalo Council Approves Purchase of Fire Truck

The Buffalo City Council, at this week's meeting, approved the purchase of a fire truck by the Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department and approved an amendment to the budget to allow the purchase.

Johnson County Approves CMAQ Contract For 2013

The Johnson County Commissioners, at their meeting this week, approved County Road and Bridge Supervisor Scott Pehringer to enter into the annual CMAQ (Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality) program contract with the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT).

JCSD1 Planning For Summer School And Staff Training

At their last meeting the Johnson County School District one Board of Trustees were updated on administration's plans for upcoming Summer School sessions, training for staff and the district entering into agreements with other districts and the University on common core programs.
