The Johnson County Commission had their first meeting of 2012 on Tuesday, and were short-handed with Commissioner Delbert Eitel unable to attend.

Jo Co High School Teams Back At It This Week

Johnson County's high school sports teams will get bacj in action this week after the long Holiday break.
The Bison Wrestlers were in Gillette Tuesday to get the sports season started for 2012, and we will have results when they are available.
The wrestlers will travel to Douglas Friday and Saturday to compete in their Invitational Tournament.
The Bison boys' and girls' basketball teams will be in action Friday, as the boys host the Wheatland Bulldogs and the girls play at Wheatland.
The boys games will be at BHS beginning at 4pm for the freshmen, 5:30 for JV and 7 for the varsity.


BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams will be in Riverton for three games each starting tonight all six games will be broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM.

The schedule this evening has them facing Kelly Walsh the Lady Broncs play at 6:00 the Broncs at 7:30.

The Lady Broncs are 6-1 as they get ready to face the Trojans Head coach Sean Yeager says they happy to get back on the court.

Legislative Forum Begins in Sheridan

Day one of the two-day Legislative Forum sponsored by the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Committee got under way Wednesday at Sheridan City Hall. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has more.

Free Clinic to Continue to Pursue Funding for Possible Move

Last month the Wyoming Business Council denied a grant request from the Free Clinic of Sheridan County to renovate the Sheridan County Public Health building to accommodate the Free Clinic.

Out With the Old - In With the New

Next time you visit the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome look-up and view the new enhanced scoreboard that was installed over the Christmas break. The new board is viewable from two-sides as opposed to the 4-sided view of the old board. In addition to the new board at the top of the dome are two smaller boards - one on each end of the gym.

STT: Visits, Lodging Tax Collections Up Though Tourists Spent Less

Sheridan Travel and Tourism saw travelers spending less when they visited Sheridan County last year than the previous year, but STT says more visitors to the area resulted in a rise in 4 percent lodging tax collections.
