SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals play road games at Casper college tomorrow night and will be at home Saturday night hosting games with Gillette.

The Lady Generals are 17-2 overall coming off two conference wins last week and are on a nine game winning streak. Tomorrow night they play at Casper and another conference game with Gillette at home Saturday night Head coach Frank McCarthy says it's another big week of conference play.

SCSD2 + SC = College Readiness, Stronger Workforce?

Talk of state issues in education, local trends, and new courses were followed by discussions of addressing developmental studies enrollments and possible pilot projects Monday night during a Sheridan College/Sheridan County School District 2 Joint Board Meeting.

Johnson County Healthcare Center's phone system was down most of Sunday, prompting notification from the county's Emergency Notification, or Code Red System.

NWCCD Board Approves Changes To Policy On Resources

At their meeting in Buffalo last Thursday, the Northern Wyoming Community College District's Board of Trustees voted to approve changes in policy affecting the use of college resources.

Bison Swimmers First, Second at Weekend Meets

The Bison boys' swim team had another exceptiona weekend, taking first in their own Invite Friday and finishing second in the Worland Invite on Saturday.
At their home meet Friday, the Bison finished first with 589 points, followed by Douglas with 463, Rawlins with 215, and Newcastle with 148.
First-place finishes came from the 400 free relay team, the 200 medley relay team, and the 200 free relay team.
Individually, Neil Medders took first in the 100 free and 100 back; Nate Holt won the 200 and 500 free; Josh Cohoon was first in the 50 free; and Justin Land won the diving event.

JCSD1 Board Discusses Cloud Peak School Project

The Johnson County School District 1 Board of Trustees held their second meeting of January in Kaycee Monday night and received an update on where the process for building their new Cloud Peak Elementary School currently sits.

UPDATE: Oscar Noms Released - "Buck" Not on Final List

The Academy Awards Ceremony will be held in about a month, Sunday, February 26th, and the official nominations for the 84th annual presentation were announced this morning at 6:30, live from Los Angeles, CA.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Wyoming forward Kayla Woodward has earned Mountain West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors for games played from Jan. 16-22, 2012. It is the first weekly award in her collegiate career.
