Great Lakes Has Weekend Scare With Landing Gear

A flight originating in Denver circled for an extra hour before landing at the Sheridan airport Saturday due to a suspected problem with the plane's landing gear.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Sheridan high school soccer teams are both conference and now regional tournament champions after victories Saturday.

Both teams beat Cheyenne central in the regional title games the Lady Broncs won 1-0 and the Broncs 3-0 both will have number one seeds heading into this week's state tournament.

The Broncs shut out both their opponents in the tournament after the win Saturday Head coach Kevin Riser.

State Soccer Matchups, Regional 1A And 3A Track Results

After this weekend's play-in games for the State Soccer Tournament, the field is set for this week's matchups at the Big Horn Equestrian Center beginning Thursday.

The Wyoming High School Activities Association has all the brackets, and for the boys in 3A, Pindale will take on Worland; Star Valley will play Lander; Powell will play Jackson; and Cody will take on the Bison with that game scheduled for 4pm on Field #1.

For the girls, Pinedale will play Cody; Star Valley will play Lander; Worland will take on Jackson; and Torrington will play The Lady Bison at 2pm on Field #1.

The Buffalo Sports Fields Complex is moving forward and is still scheduled to be completed by the end of this year and ready for use in the spring of 2013, according to Buffalo City Planner Zach Montgomery.
